BELLE HAVEN
MARINA AND ISABEL
I have traveled the Chesapeake
Bay area extensively
However I always enjoy returning
to my home port Belle Haven Marina
in Alexandria, Va. on the Potomac
River. Either to launch the Boston Whaler again or just to stroll
thur the marina . The Setting is very nice and the place is "laid back"
Its a perfect place to take kids on a weekend for a walk and look around.
There are lots of things happening in the prime boating months. Sailboat
lessons,kayakers,bass fishermen,sailors,windsurfers,and power boaters alike
enjoy this special spot a mile south of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge , off
the George Washington Parkway.
BELLE HAVEN SUNRISE
The 4th of July is always fun at Belle Haven Marina. Droves of boats will be launched for the trip up the Potomac River to the Washington D.C. Fireworks.
Kayaks and small boats are a big part of the Belle Haven experience!
The Long Pier with Sail and
Power boats
There are two launch areas,one
for trailered craft and a second at the end on the marina for roof
top craft . This is the roof top craft launch area for kayaks, canoes and
windsurfers. There is a carpeted surface to launch from.

Some Special Belle Haven Pictures
Yes we know! No launching
at low tide!
A rare really low tide condition
caused by the moon and winds in the winter!
Even in the dead of winter Belle Haven can be a special place to visit!
